In the era of Covid19, education faces the major challenge to continue its operations without losing momentum while keeping students and teachers safe and protected. The FRONTIERS project, true to its mission to introduce Nobel Prize Physics to the classroom, initiates a series of online activities for students. The first FRONTIERS Webinar for students, a 45 minutes introduction to CERN’s Large Hadron Collider and the ATLAS experiment offered by Prof. Christine Kourkoumelis (University of Athens/IASA), was organized by the teams of Ellinogermaniki Agogi and IASA in Greece.
Students of Ellinogermaniki Agogi from different classes were simultaneously connected to the webinar and had the opportunity to learn about the science and the scientists behind humankind’s pursuit of the energy frontier of Physics.
